The competition for the Königsbrunn Forum was held some time ago. However, the town near Augsburg was subject to great cost pressure for a long time, which repeatedly caused the project to falter. Now, thanks to funding from the Federal Ministry of Construction, the Königsbrunn Forum is set to get underway.
The current times hold many new challenges for us as planners.
We are therefore all the more pleased that we have been able to expand our management team:
Jonathan Feldmann, Carolin Müller, Andreas Nothdurft, Daniela Scholz and Birgit Wohlfart have long enjoyed our trust and support us as associates in the further development and strategic direction of our office.
In addition to project work and their commitment to internal processes, they contribute a wide range of expertise with their different areas of focus and also represent the office externally.

The inauguration of the residential quarter on Dresdner Ring was celebrated in Backnang on Friday, 07.06.24. While the finishing touches were still being applied to the four buildings, a toast to the new residential quarter was raised in the courtyard of the ensemble by all those present and invited guests. The first tenants are already moving in this week, and viewings of the apartments have been underway since the beginning of the year.
The city of Backnang is satisfied. The urban quarter on the outskirts of the city promises a lively neighborhood, creates quality outdoor space and even keeps out the noise from the nearby B14.
After the jury awarded three 1st prizes for the future W&W site at the end of 2023, the designs were finalized and sharpened again in a second phase.
Even though we were not able to prevail in the second phase, we are happy to show our result.
Our article takes an in-depth look at one of the most important question questions of our time.
How do we deal with inventory and gray energy?
Carefully, is our answer. In order to create a sustainable, resource-efficient district that points the way to the future, we have oriented ourselves as closely as possible to the existing buildings. This should be transformed and used wherever the structure allows it.
We congratulate the winners of the 2nd phase.
