On Sunday, October 27, the Ueberlingen fire department's new east fire station was officially opened. The new building unites Deisendorf and Nußdorf and, with its optimal location on the B31, will ensure safety in the future. The fire department training tower will be completed next week and complements the simple building with its cantilevered, round roof with the tower element so typical of fire departments.
From the Lord Mayor to the fire department commander, speeches were made and now everyone is looking forward to the start of the new era of the eastern fire station.
A short break for the shell construction work - a celebratory act for everyone involved
On the right-hand side of the construction site, the shell work is in full swing, while a brass band with construction site helmets tunes up on the left-hand side. This is the picture that awaits you on the building site in Gunzenhausen on Monday morning, the day the foundation stone is laid.
The foundation stone was laid on the floor slab of the underground parking garage. A time capsule was ceremoniously filled by the Minister of State for Education and Culture, Ms. Anna Stolz. In addition to the current building plans, the daily newspaper, a coin with the current minting, the key to the former “silo” and a specially made meter stick were placed in the time capsule. The aim is to combine history and the future.
Above all, Ms. Stolz emphasized that this is more than just a construction project - it is a symbol. For the schools and the future of children throughout Bavaria, the aim is to lead the way with a flagship project. To wish the project continued success, a four-leaf clover was symbolically added to the time capsule.
With this in mind, we wish the building site and the project continued good luck.

In Überlingen on Lake Constance, the fire department vehicles are slowly moving into their new building. Inside, the seminar rooms and boot washing facility are already ready for the move. The fire station tower and the outdoor facilities are still being realized. However, the clear, simple concrete structure is already nestled into the slope behind it. The formal, round canopy opens up the building with an inviting gesture and provides protection when working outside.
On the last day of september, the district sports hall of Wangen and the new Josef Dreier Platz, in front of the hall, were ceremonially opened.
For the ceremony Thomas Steimle, principal Patrick Well, county commissioner Harald Sievers and mayor Michael Lang spoke about the new hall and the place.
Mayor Lang accentuated, that he really likes the new positioning of the hall between the old trees and the visual axis between the Oldcity and the Cityhall.
The County Comissioner Sievers, who actively contributed to the realisation, said, that the hall, which is the first finished building under the new ambitious aims of sustainability the county did, should be a role model for every following building.

Progress is being made on the construction site for the district administration office in Gunzenhausen. The demolition work was completed in April. Since then, the shell has been under construction and now the two basement levels can already be seen. It is not only after a downpour that the water in this excavation pit is fought against. Lowering wells are being used to drain the ground of the future district administration office. We look forward to further news from this large, small construction site in Gunzenhausen.
