Deep, rich red when it rains, almost terracotta colours when the sun shines. This is how the fire station in Germersheim presents itself. The red-coloured concrete contrasts with its green surroundings and will soon also provide an optimal cover for its red vehicles. In the meantime, the extension has progressed a little further than here in the pictures, but the charm of the red bar can already be felt here.
This year, the excavators are rolling on many of Steimle Architekten's construction sites. In Nuremberg, things are also progressing in leaps and bounds. This week, the entire Steimle project team was on site to take a look at the construction progress. In the meantime, the floor slab has been concreted and the first walls are already in place.
On Dresdner Ring in Backnang, the construction site for the four new residential buildings has started. On the Bau Geno site, you can watch the progress of the construction site since May 2022. You will found the video here.
The Bauhuas visitorcentre gets a bestarchitects 23 award for public buildings. On the bestarchitects pageyou can found all awarded projects.
The Remchingen town hall has been nominated for the Baden Architecture Prize in the Public+Social category. You can still vote until 14.07.22 at this link. Steimle Architekten are happy about every vote.
Thomas Steimle was a guest at the Pforzheim-Enzkreis Chamber Group on Thursday, 21.07.2022. There he gave a lecture with the topic "The place determines - architecture in context", and also answered questions about the Pfozheim housing project Kallhardtstraße. The wreath is blowing in the wind, the carpenters are standing on the roof, the speech has been spoken and the glass has also been broken. Today's topping-out ceremony for the Markolf Hall in Markelfingen was also a poem, so to speak. Together with the builders and the company Fluck Holzbau, Steimle Architekten celebrate the raising of the timber construction elements.
At the end of June, the ground-breaking ceremony for the sports and multi-purpose hall in Wangen im Allgäu took place. The timber hybrid building is completely under the aspect of sustainability and is thus also the first project that the district is building under the "Sustainable Building" guideline.
The city of Wangen informs on their website about the ceremony.
