On 14 September, the working day at Steimle Architekten got off to a different start. Departure from Stuttgart was at 7:30 a.m. to take the bus to the beautiful Lake Constance, where the team from Überlingen was already waiting. To start the excursion, the team visited the library in Kressbronn. Together they marvelled at the filigree wooden construction and explored the interior. The tour continued with a visit to the Bodan Shipyard 1919. The conversion of the former shipbuilding area radiates as an innovative quarter far beyond Kressbronn. The conversion and renovation of the listed shipyard halls has resulted in the construction of numerous new buildings as well as a restaurant and event centre. Well fortified by the local gastronomy, architects became oarsmen. From Langenargen, we set out in canoes on the high seas to wade back ashore two hours later, wet and dishevelled, but with a hearty appetite. During a guided tour of the wooden building designed by Ludescher + Lutz for the Schmidt winery on Lake Constance, we examined not only the architecture but also the traditional production of wine. With a magnificent view, the team was then treated to a wine tasting of the current vintage wines and a snack. Enjoyed by the beautiful day together and with numerous impressions, the team then returned to Stuttgart and Überlingen.

Deep, rich red when it rains, almost terracotta colours when the sun shines. This is how the fire station in Germersheim presents itself. The red-coloured concrete contrasts with its green surroundings and will soon also provide an optimal cover for its red vehicles. In the meantime, the extension has progressed a little further than here in the pictures, but the charm of the red bar can already be felt here.
This year, the excavators are rolling on many of Steimle Architekten's construction sites. In Nuremberg, things are also progressing in leaps and bounds. This week, the entire Steimle project team was on site to take a look at the construction progress. In the meantime, the floor slab has been concreted and the first walls are already in place.
On Dresdner Ring in Backnang, the construction site for the four new residential buildings has started. On the Bau Geno site, you can watch the progress of the construction site since May 2022. You will found the video here.
